SHASTA REGULATORS of Hat Creek

MINUTES September 8, 2008

1. The September meeting of SHASTA REGULATORS was held at the Methodist Church in Anderson, CA. Cayenne Pepper called the meeting to order @ 6:25 PM

2. School Teacher Report: Modoc moved to accept the minutes as written. Tequila Jim seconded. Motion passed

3. Territorial Governor’s Report: NA

4. Old Business

A. Fall Work Party: We will be clearing brush in the cowboy area at Burney range on October 11- 12. A list of chores to be done will be compiled after the September match.

B. Fire Equipment Expense: Lefty Malone said he will get a bill to us soon. It is about $100. Modoc moved that we lease it to local groups. After some discussion the motion was tabled.

C. Gate: During the October work day the gate committee will mark out where the posts need to go and clear any brush that will be in the way.

D. Cubitainer: Hat Creek meeting was canceled so we will need to ask next time.

E. Texas Star Target: The man who bought the star gave us a week to buy it or he would be taking it back to the manufacturer so several of our members jointly purchased it. At a later date we can decide which club should buy it or keep it in shared ownership.

5. New Business

A. Badges: Shasta Regulator badges are available for $35. You are considered a Shasta Regulator when you join Hat Creek R&P Club and SASS. See Cayenne Pepper to get your badge.

6. Ambush ’09:

A. Committee Sign Up sheet was passed around

B. Stages: Committee has chosen 3 stages that can be used. Committee will present several stages at next meeting. We can try them at monthly shoots.

Polka Dot would like six successively taller target stands with tallest one being about 4 ft.

Committee will meet briefly following club meeting.

C. Caterer: We would like Watchmaker to cook again. Meals would include a Pot luck on Friday evening (meat provided), Lunch & Dinner on Saturday. Cayenne will ask Watchmaker if he will cook for us again and ask him to present a menu.
