MINUTES October 13, 2008

1.      Cayenne Pepper called the meeting to order @ 6:23

2.      School Teacher’s Report:  Michigan Slick moved to accept the minutes as written.  Motion passed.

3.      Territorial Governor’s Report:  N/A

4.      Hat Creek Report:  Ok’d Cubitainer but would like the gate to be put in first.

Starting in 2009 there will be a  work party assessment at the rate of 50% of annual dues for those who do not participate in work parties.  The fee will be added to following years dues.

Annual meeting will be January 10 @ Lion’s Hall in Burney.  They need people to help set up and clean up. 

We are looking for nominations for people to run for Hat Creek club board.

5.      Redding Gun Club Report:  ’09 board member nominations need to be in by Nov. 5.  Ballots will be mailed out and votes will be counted at December meeting.

Lower area groups are planning a joint work party for November 1.  They are planning on taking blackberry bushes out and build another berm near the new berm.

Turkey shoot on November 16.

6.      Old Business

A.     Burney Work Party:  Excellent.  Thank you to all that showed up.  You got a lot done.  The area for the Cubitainer needs to be leveled yet.  Some trees need to be cut down and added to the burn pile. We could use a good sized backhoe to pull stumps and level the pad.  We also need to fill the ditch areas at the front gate.  Posts should be set sometime this month.

B.      Fire Equipment:  Lefty Malone fixed it up and it looks real nice.  It cost about $50.  We will also pay his membership for next year as a thank you.

C.      Cubitainer:  Prices are going up.  Cayenne found some in the Nickel and some in the Bay Area.  He still needs to call around and get some prices. 

7.      New Business

A.     Shasta Regulator Elections If you are interested in running for a position please let Sierra Packer know by November 10 so she can get your name on the ballot and get it distributed by the December meeting.

8.      Ambush ‘09

A.      Stages:  Stage committee will submit 12 stages for vote to club members.  Will meet after this meeting.

B.      Caterer:  Watchmaker will cook for us something similar to last year.  Lunch will be hamburgers with a few hot dogs.

Announcements

November shoot at Burney will be potluck

Lassen Regulators Toys for Tots shoot will be November 1 @ Susanville.
